KARIIM SMITH BBK CO-OWNER, CERTIFIED PERSONAL TRAINER + FITNESS ENTREPRENEUR
Kariim is a multi-certified personal trainer and owner of Body By Kariim Fitness Studio in West Midtown. With over 8 years of experience in physical fitness, health, wellness and nutrition - he specializes in weight loss and muscle building through compound, isolated, aerobic and anaerobic exercises. Kariim's passion for fitness is evident by his efforts to make exercise part of his clients' lifestyle, versus a short term goal.
Currently, he's been working to develop fitness programs for families, couples and groups knowing that it's easier to make a commitment with support from peers. He's also becoming a regular speaker and exhibitor at inner city schools, health fairs, as well as fitness and personal training conferences. An avid proponent of education, especially on health related issues like sleep apnea, hypertension, diabetes and high cholesterol, Kariim has seen several clients be able to wean themselves off of prescription medications for all of those diseases through the BBK workout regimens he created.

What keeps you motivated?
Seeing how someone's life has changed through fitness. Helping someone rebuild their confidence the best part of what I do. Knowing that they have reached their personal fitness goal - a goal they once thought was impossible is priceless.
What is your #1 Fitness Secret?
Keep your workouts fresh and effective in order to shock your body. The more your muscles mature, the faster they adapt to exercise.
What Supplements are a staple in your diet?
Protein Powder, Multivitamins, Vitamin C, Fish Oil, and Glutamine.
Do you have any vices?
Bad Carbs! (like everyone else…lol) It's pure discipline that keeps me from over indulging.
